Even the dial, hands and bird are wood carved.
This clock has a one cuckoo call every half hour and the number of hour cuckoo call at full hours, with mechanical night stop. The lumberjack is chopping wood as the cuckoo sings, swinging his axe up and down. The roof is a shingle roof type many dozen of small wooden plates cut and glued by hand.
To wind up the clock just pull the chains every day.
